Founded in 1953 in Paris, the “Association Internationale des Interprètes de Conférence” (aiic), is an international association of conference interpreters. With its strict membership criteria, aiic ensures the maintenance of the highest professional standards. Only interpreters with a recognized professional qualification are admitted to its ranks. Today the association has more than 3,000 members in 100 countries and is a recognized partner for the European Union, NATO, Interpol, the World Bank, the United Nations and many other international organizations.
